    Yeah I don't think HBO really cares about ratings. As long as a show creates some buzz and people are talking about it, they are happy.

    Production on the final season has began.
    They are currently filming here in Rockaway again.
    They took over a 4 or 5 block stretch of our boardwalk that wasnt taken from superstorm Sandy.
    I rode my bicycle down today to get some shots.

    just about an hour ago I went to the B.E. site on HBO to see if thre were any trailers for season 5 but there wasn't any...then this showed up on fb 14 mins ago

    can't say i get why Terence Winter, the other producers and HBO decided for season 5 to jump ahead to 1931...even worse they're wrapping up the series in just 8 episodes.

    wtf? for a show with so many characters seems like they'd have lots more stories left to tell than just 8 episodes worth...doesn't make sense from a fan perspective

    I haven't seen any explanation for why they're cutting the new season to just 8 episodes...i just know it totally sucks!

    i don't mind that they are going 6 years in the future, but 8 episodes is fucking weak. hopefully the finale gets an hour and a half or two hours.
