Why do I collect Vinyl?

I'm not a flipper and I've jut been casually buying records from bands I like probably since 2003 with no intention of buying for collectability purposes.
I currently own 135 albums.
I went on Ebay yesterday to price my records by checking out completed listings. Based on the most recent completed/sold listing my collection is worth about $4800.
If you take care of the album, vinyl doesn't depreciate in value.
I garauntee that if I grabbed 135 CD's at random, I wouldn't be able to sell them for $4800
