all will be lost

the sky turned dark
summer storm on the way
a heart song filled the room
and the butterfly failed to appear….
thoughts far away in time
thoughts too broken to really be mine,…
the caged city mocks me
with the sound and lights of success

deep in the heart of misery
there is a lonely room
black walls without windows
a bare bulb hangs from the ceiling
casting strange shadows on the floor
and the minds of all those who enter,..
and fail
to find a way out

don’t look now,
but the flowers are all dead
I’ll shed a tear for their beautiful demise
and prepare a place
for you to mourn,..
a cold room made of glass, and lace
where tears freeze
as soon as they hit the floor

in the distance
the thunder claps
and the lightning slaps the poor angels
turning their feathers to dust
while a bloody kiss from envy
sends me on my way,…
knowing all will be forgotten
and all will be lost.
Peace, Love.
