    I love the sound of..

    .. my kitty purring.
    .. my boyfriend's laugh.
    .. good music.
    .. wind blowing through forests.
.. water, every form of it.
.. my kitty's paws when she's padding around the apartment.

    And many other things! :)

money falling into the hopper of a slot machine

pool balls falling and rolling around in the table when you make a shot

wind whistling over the chimney during a windstorm

a crackling and popping of a campfire

a puppy yawning (especially when there is a small howl mixed with it)

ocean waves crashing against the rocks during a storm

the 'pop' 'fizz' when you crack open a cold beer

    a Ferrari engine being revved

the water lapping at the side of a boat

whales surfacing and taking a breath
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I am another person who loves the sound of thunderstorms/wind and rain whilst snuggled inside,
I also love hearing boat rigging crashing about in stormy weather (my parents live by the marina) and I love hearing waves crashing against the shore, and dragging the sand/pebbles back into the water...

  • I love the sound of that moment...that brief instant quiet moment... in the morning...after I've lovingly smacked the snooze bar on my alarm clock. :P
  • some of my favorites:
moving water (creeks, rain, ocean waves, waterfalls, etc)
    campfires
    singing birds
walking on gravel or walking with spikes on your shoes
fireworks (and the vibrations you feel)
obviously music, but i love hearing music far off in the distance too
both the crack of the bat and the pop of the mit playing baseball
sound of opening a beer can or bottle
    drum circles or drum lines
    purring cats
