Best-selling author Andrew C. McCarthy led the federal prosecution of Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and eleven other terrorists for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and New York City landmarks plot. McCarthy recently offered readers an introduction of sorts in the National Review Online to the Muslim Brotherhood. The MB is the father of all of today’s Islamic terrorist groups, works to destroy America from within, funneled millions to terrorist group Hamas, and supports both Imam Feisel Abdul Rauf and his plan to build a 15-story mosque at Ground Zero through its front groups:

Now it emerges that a “special, non-commercial edition” of this book was later produced, with Feisal’s cooperation, by two American tentacles of the Muslim Brotherhood: the Islamic Society of North America and the International Institute of Islamic Thought. The book’s copyright page tells the tale:

Both ISNA and IIIT have been up to their necks in the promotion of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood’s ruthless Palestinian branch, which is pledged by charter to the destruction of Israel. In fact, both ISNA and IIIT were cited by the Justice Department as unindicted co-conspirators in a crucial terrorism-financing case involving the channeling of tens of millions of dollars to Hamas through an outfit called the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. For the last 15 years, Hamas has been a designated terrorist organization under U.S. law.

Dawa, whether done from the rubble of the World Trade Center or elsewhere, is the missionary work by which Islam is spread. As explained in my recent book, The Grand Jihad, dawa is proselytism, but not involving only spiritual elements — for Islam is not merely a religion, and spiritual elements are just a small part of its doctrine. In truth, Islam is a comprehensive political, social, and economic system with its own authoritarian legal framework, sharia, which aspires to govern all aspects of life.

This framework rejects core tenets of American constitutional republicanism: for example, individual liberty, freedom of conscience, freedom to govern ourselves irrespective of any theocratic code, equality of men and women, equality of Muslims and non-Muslims, and economic liberty, including the uses of private property (in Islam, owners hold property only as a custodians for the umma, the universal Muslim nation, and are beholden to the Islamic state regarding its use). Sharia prohibits the preaching of creeds other than Islam, the renunciation of Islam, any actions that divide the umma, and homosexuality. Its penalties are draconian, including savagely executed death sentences for apostates, homosexuals, and adulterers.

This Islamic dawa center would promote the imposition of discriminatory sharia law here in America and it has been planned for Ground Zero for years.

Now do some of you see why we should question where the funding is coming from ? But Im sure poeple will say that it's from a biased web site so it's not true.  go figure

it's not true, the entire article is a lie. in fact, I can singlehandedly destroy that garbage you posted, and prove that it's all a lie. but what will that do? it won't convince you otherwise. you're as ignorant as they come, you believe the most ridiculous bullshit I've ever seen. those who know better will read the article and realize it's bullshit, and those, like you, who want to believe it will believe it regardless of what I prove. I mean come on, the mosque will be used to promote shari'ah in the US? are you fucking kidding me? give me a break.

so let me get this straight....you post an "article" from a website called "stopthe9/11mosque.com" and you expect me to read it as if it has any legitimacy? that article is one of the most slanted pieces of garbage i have ever read. that website has an obvious agenda and an obvious mission of turning public opinion against the cultural center/mosque. i am able to distinguish news from propaganda, yet I AM THE ONE THAT NEEDS TO WAKE THE HELL UP???:lol::lol:

this thread is going to go the same way the majority of your threads go....you post some obviously biased blog or something then you get mad at us when we dismiss it. and even if i were to ask you legitimate questions about it you would not answer them, so what is the point in wasting my time?

there's something wrong with that man, you're judging the whole religion on the actions of a few idiots.

it would be like me thinking the tea partiers must all be complete idiots because of the interactions i've had with some on this board, its a smaller scale than condemning an entire religion, less dangerous, but that's thee idea.

Am i to assume every tea partyer has his head up his ass, because of how i've seen them represented on this board? well i don't.

there's no place for bigotry ever.

As far as I'm concerned this mosque is a slap in the face of America, but hey why say anything, after all you want to be seen as an open society. Go build a 13 story Christian church/educational center Saudi Arabia or many other Muslim countries. I wonder how that would work out. The west could take the lead and ban all organized religion...afterall religion is the true root of all evil.

you know there's no facts stated in that article....that was all opinion. The "author" states that these people stand for this and that and say this and that and fund terrorist groups but doesn't ever say how they do it or give specific examples of how they're helping terrorists out. That was all heavily slanted opinion on islamic religion...i got a question for you...do they have their constitutional rights to build it there? You have to discard opinion here of whether its something you think they should or shouldn't do; do they have their right to?

I am loving the people saying "go build a church over there!".

You know what, you are right, most likely a church would not be allowed to be built in certain areas of mid east. Its a shame that these other countries are run by dictators and dont have a constitution that says EVERYONE should be treated equally.

If i wanted to build a church in oklahoma city, i bet you wouldn't give a shit. I guess i should thank tim mcvey for being white/christian?

Every religion has its extremists. If you want to be a true christian then forgive the people whom you feel are responsible.

Fyi - i am agnostic but i can still respect other beliefs

Go read the constitution and maybe reread an elementary school history book that will tell you the first people to settle "america" were seeking religious freedom

I think there probably are radical Islamic fundamentalists who want to destroy America from within. I also don't think all Muslims are radical Islamic fundamentalists, and I don't think the entire religion should be punished based on the behavior of an asshole minority. Maybe you need to get out in public a little more and meet some Muslims - they're a lot less scary than Fox News would have you believe.
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

Do I think building a mosque near ground zero is a bitch slap? Yes, a part of me does. However, it's a slippery slope, and I don't think the government has any business telling anyone where they can or cannot build their church. Just my opinion.
