    Sweet Jesus why does this stuff always show up when I'm planning a weekend on the boat... and, until three minutes ago, swimming off the back of the boat...

    If that was me, you would have enjoyed video showing the shadow of the shark, and then a slow circling underwater panorama as I dropped the camera and paddled like hell for shore, a trail of yellow fluid and former sigmoid colon contents in my wake.

    No, we generally stay around the Harbor Islands. That's the plan for Sunday. We go to World's End, a cove off Hingham, and drop the anchor. We look for an area with lots of slow, inebriated swimmers because we figure we can get back on a boat quicker than they can.

    Brewster is the outer part of the Cape. Boston is maybe 60 nautical miles from Brewster. To drive it's about 2 hours.

    My folks live on the water in southern FL. Creeps me out when I go in the ocean, as they often see sharks right in front of their place.
