Cat Stevens........a legend....

This song is from my childhood. I remember how odd it felt at 9 years old listening to "Tea for Tillerman" , my mother's boyfriend bought this album for her...

This song always made me sit down and wonder why the son was leaving the father?

    I love this song. Cat Stevens has some great music to offer. Never really discovered him until I got all my dad's records though.

    If you have not heard The Flaming Lips "Fight Test", you should check it out to hear the similarities between it and "Father and Son". Wayne has even said that they realized it and changed it some to avoid getting sued, so I would hate to hear how similar it was before if that was really the case!

    Cat's follow up in the mid 00's as Yusef "An Other Cup" is fantastic...

    Father & Son by Johnny Cash w/ Fiona Apple is incredible as well...

    I love Ed's covers of Trouble, If You Want To Sing Out & Don't Be Shy are awesome, but I can't wait for the day when he tosses Father & Son into the set...one can wish, right?
