Incubus - album recommendations?

so after seeing them before PJ at Outside Lands a year ago, I've come to the realization that I like nearly every song I've heard. Any recommendations as to what album(s) I should purchase first...still not sure why it's taken me a year to purchase their tunes :? (or ten years for that matter!)
thanks Brisk

    Make Yourself.

    First pick up Make Yourself. I think it's their best album. Also has most of the songs you probably know. Morning view is their follow up and it is also very good.
    He who forgets will be destined to remember.

    Morning View and A Crow Left of the Murder. Then Make Yourself. Incubus is a top 5 band for me. That being said, I think there's more filler on Make Yourself than on the two I suggested.
    It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

    Incubus is one of those bands who push their creative limit with every release. They are 2nd
    on my list of most creative right behind Coheed and Cambria. Start with Make Yourself, and
    then go to Morning View. When you are really ready to get into their creativity, dig into Science.
    Now, I dare someone watch this live performance of their best song, Sick Sad Little World,
    and not be blown away. I do want some reactions after watching Mike Einzinger destroy this
    freaking solo.... enjoy

    Yeah, and that was actually the wrong link of that song, but I think you got the point!
    I like the fact that they do take risks and don't put out the same record, they push
    themselves with every release. They are making a new album as we speak, so can't wait for
    it. Anyway, glad you liked it. Now, take one more chance on something and watch one more
    link. You will see THE MOST CREATIVE AND INTENSE LIVE BAND OUT THERE TODAY. Tell me
    what you think. Incubus are some of their biggest fans, and they have opened for them.
    Now they are selling at all their shows. ENJOY AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

    As someone who's seen Incubus almost as many times as Pearl Jam I can say Morning View will give you the best variety. It has slow, fast, elements of old, new, It's an all-round great album. No tracks worth skipping.

    All of them. They don't have one bad album. Actually, I don't think they have one bad song.

    Science is still my favorite.

    I think their earlier stuff is much better and much more creative than their newer stuff.
  • I think Make Yourself and Morning View are their best starter albums. After that try Science and A Crow Left of the Murder

    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}

    For some reason I've always kinda considered Incubus as a bit of a guilty pleasure!
    Not sure why, cause I think they're actually a very talented & creative band.
    Love all their albums & think they're a decent live band too.

    Make Yourself, Morning View & SCIENCE get most playtime from me I'd say.

    This is my view too. There's something so vital and energizing about Science. To me it is easily their best album. I got into them fairly early on. I owned the EP "Enjoy Incubus" a few months before Science came out. Science blew me away when it came out and I think think it is incredibly imaginative and creative (and has aged very well). I know the band looks back on that era as immature and feeling like they were trying too hard, but to me they never quite acheived this level of musicianship and interesting music. I like a lot of songs off the subsequent few albums, but I just don't like them as much anymore.

  • This is the easy way out but.... Monuments and Melodies is a double disc that came out last year. Disc 1 is essentially their greatest hits off all the records. Disc 2 is all the best B-Sides that never made a record.
    Disc 2 is actually on of my fav incubus cd's. Songs like Punch Drunk, Anything, are amazing.

    I'm reluctant to suggest Monuments and Melodies to be your first incubus purchase because their records have so many great songs that were not radio singles. But it gives you the hits and a rare collection.
