I guess this shouldn't be shocking news. BP knows that there is still about $4B worth of oil down there. Someone is taking that oil sooner or later . . .

    What difference does it make? Unless all off shore drilling is banned it makes no sense not to drill there.

    I think they should drill there. Likely, they'll be a lot more careful this time.

    i think offshore drilling has proven itself to be not only dangerous and unsafe but potentially devestating to the environment. with all of the shortcuts and cost saving measures they have taken, and with the extreme arrogance their ceo has shown with dealing with this disaster if i were in government i would not allow BP to do ANYTHING AT ALL in our coastal waters. they can go make their billions drilling elsewhere...
