They have to stop this "pump out a new record every few months" thing. Their music was already suffering, and after Raditude, I'm not even going to waste my money on this. Raditude had one good song on it to me, If You're Wondering If I Want You To, and I absolutely hated the rest, so I'm not paying $10 for one song I'll listen to more than once. Bye Weezer!
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

  • I have to admit that I fell off the Weezer bandwagon a couple of albums back. I remember the first time I heard Buddy Holly way back when, I instantly feel in love. The Green album was good too, but imo, it was downhill from there.
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....
    fade away...

I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.

I like it, it has 'whatever' attitude & gets people talking. Jorge is probably least likely cast member to land a job, nice for him, too.
Or they are pulling everyone's leg.

Definitely not in a good way, though. People are going to think if they're too lazy to make a real cover, that they're too lazy to make decent music, either.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

Was just listening to Pinkerton on the way in to work today. Those first two albums were excellent from beginning to end. Then they just began to unravel like an old sweater. :ugeek:

Actually, the green album was pretty good, but they'd lost their mojo after Rivers decided to matriculate. Should have stayed a slacker. They've had some good singles since then, but not good albums.

  • Pretty funny take on Weezer and more specifically, Rivers Cuomo.

    LOL damn that was hilarious!!
  • that has GOT to be a joke. I know they called the album Hurley, but that was in reference to them doing some sort of clothing line, isn't it? He mentioned Jorge in an interview, but I didn't think it would go this far....

The last solid album they had was Maladroit, which I think is very underrated. Make Believe had some good songs too. But I haven't bothered with the last two - wasn't very impressed with the radio songs, and I guess I kinda moved on into weirder music. I gotta admit the album cover for Hurley cracks me up, and I've only seen one episode of Lost. I'm still keen to at least give a listen to what they put out. They were one of my favorite bands back in the 90's.
  • I was 100% sure that album cover was a hoax. I just went to their website. WOW. You'd think calling it Hurley and having his image would amount to copyright infringement of the show Lost, wouldn't it?
