    too bad Ed didn't write a song for the BlackHawks - jinxing them like he jinxed the Cubs thus giving the Flyers the CUP like his Cubs song jinx helped the Phils win it in 2008. just sayin Ed.

    Yeah, to be honest I'm used to the Lakers being such a dominant force in basketball. However, we still have time to stop the basketball "super-friends" from Globetrotting their way to an expected title.

    I read an article about the Stanley Cup caretaker. He said only people who have won the Cup can drink out of it or hoist it over their heads, and everyone has to be respectful of it. So, Eddie wasn't allowed to. I think it was on time.com.

    Goddam - I know Chicago was a little better than the Flyers, but I'm still so damn bitter about that. We've lost 6 Finals in a row. :evil:

    At least we'll always have The 0-3 Comeback(s).

    Actually, the caretaker took over the next season after 1994, because of some things that some of the Rangers did with the Cup. He wouldn't elaborate. So, yes, I do believe it.

    but on the flip side, the it was good for the young players to get some expierience.

    2010-11 should be a fun season.

    it just adds to the pain....6 straight finals trips and nothing to show for it. if you've been watching the nhl network, they have been playing clinching cup games for the last month. last night was 97. i can't take any more losses.

    I watched the first night when they showed 1975, and I knew to stay away the rest of the offseason.

    Yeah, it was really painful, but at least we get to hear about the 2010 Flyers whenever anyone has a 3-0 lead in a series. It's stupid to say you'd rather watch everyone else in the playoffs than watch your own team go on a wild ride, even one that ends badly.

    you are correct. it was enjoyable...just wish it would have turned out better, or they would have lost to anyone but the hawks. kind of annoying to live in the chicago area right now. :x

    Well I drank out of it at Cheli's Chili Bar in Detroit in 2008 so I know that's not true.

    And I'm pretty sure Kid Rock didn't win it either... :D
