Anyone seeing them this month or in October?
I'm seeing them for the first time in Portland, Maine I can't wait.
Anyone have any feed back from previous shows?

  • They're supposed to be excellent. I'm seeing them @ Charter One in about two weeks.

Incredible live act...you are in for a treat. I think a casual fan who is not even all that familiar with all their music would still be blown away by the passion and musicianship of these guys. Post reviews and tell us what you thought!

    seeing them in Chicago

they are a top notch live band. The whole band is fun to watch perform as they are all into the music.

they have a great heavy sound live, are real loud if you like that, and play long sets 2+ hours. Not a lot of talking just rocking.

I have seen them 5 times now and have loved them more each time (thanks PJ for introing me to these guys).

Jim James is pretty awesome, but he likes to scream more than sing at times, only warning I'll give you.

One Big Holiday is an amazing song live. maybe their best

Highly suspicious is flat out unreal live- puts the studio to shame

Gideon, Magheeta, wordless chorus....man you will love them if you like Rock music
  • Thanks for the feedback, I am sure they will not disappoint.

They seem to be superhuman during their live shows. They simply don't have an "off night". Enjoy.

I'll be in Philly with my newly minted 11 yr. old concert buddy. This will be his first big outdoor show, and the second show we see together. I'm working him up to Pearl Jam, next tour definitely!

To my shame, the only other time I've seen MMJ was Charlottesville 2008. Would love to be at the NYC shows.

2 of my top 5 concers of all time are mmj and one is jim james solo. that should tell you what you're in store for. enjoy the ride!
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
  • In a career more or less split between vintage Americana and futuristic experimentation, Louisville, Kentucky’s My Morning Jacket unleash more fire power than any band of their generation and the multi-faceted voice of Jim James has grown stronger and more fluid than ever. He’s able to convey intimacy or howl at the rafters or, in this case, over the trees and into the evening sky outdoors at Mountain Park in what promises to be one of the most satisfying shows of the summer. My Morning Jacket’s live concerts are transcendent events, drawing from some of rock history’s finest chapters but sounding every moment in the here of now.

Tried to listen to evil urges again the other day, found it rather boring. A few good songs but I dislike most of that album.......

Their other stuff is damn good though. Great live band.
