Well,

Its my 300th post so I thought Id jot down some thoughts on PJ. Well I've been listening to PJ since I was about 14 so thats 14 years ago (28 now) - Thats half my life I've followed one band and their work.

Now thats amazing in itself. Pearl Jam is a big part of my life and almost every song has a different meaning to me and they change their meaning at different points in my life. Ill always remember the day Yield, Riot Act and most other PJ albums came out. I'll always kick myself for not signing up to the 10c till 2004 - I mean WTF was I thinking.

I guess what Im trying to say is thanks - thanks to pearl jam for giving me something to believe in. I recently got my little bro into PJ - took him to the London Astoria gig. He couldn't believe how amazing not only the show was but how amazing the fans were - I tried to explain to him that Pearl Jam is more than a band, its a movement. Pearl Jam fans are a different breed. I mean we're all getting older and as PJ has progessed and changed so have we with them - Its quite amazing when I think about it.

Thanks for listening to my rant. Thanks to PJ for all the great music and meaning you have given me. Thanks PJ fans for just being. Its great to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

Gotta agree with everything the OP said. I've been listening since I was 7 or 8 and I'm now 21. Two thirds of my life spent with the same band at the top of my favorites... they definitely have influenced my life a lot.

You might be my long lost brother. I just completed post #300 not too long ago. I'm also 28...I've been listening closer to 15/16 years, but other than when you signed up for the fan club, you expressed most of my sentiments exactly!! CONGRATS and WELL SAID!!
