Why is it that all of the talented singers have opiate addictions? Really sad, fortunately if he's telling the truth he has been clean and sober for a year and a half.

good for him. usually it takes a tighter hold the bigger a group gets. he's doing the opposite, getting clean as their stardom rises.

It's great that he's kicking the habit. A lot of musicians have already dug themselves in too deep when it comes to their addictions, and fight it the rest of their lives, but it's refreshing to see someone with a brain in their head. I know I have to listen to their album again. I remember liking it, but I wasn't crazy about it. Usually that's a good sign for me, though, in terms of really liking a band.

Now that I have had time to explore songs on the album I must say I'm impressed.

Is it just me, or Does the singer sound a little like Jack white with the band having a white stripes feel musically?

it's not just you. and I also picked up their "live at grimey's" live EP from record store day. It's awesome. I missed them the one time they were here (sold out), and then the second time the show was cancelled. I sure hope they come back again.
