Used my Mackie 1202-VLZ3 with 1 Shure SM58, 2 EV cobalt mics and 1 Shure SM57. I had one EV cobalt at the 12th fret, the SM57 over top the body of the guitar and the other EV cobalt pointed dead center about 4 feet back. The SM58 had some overlap that required some mixing adjustment. I EQ'd the SM58 a bit warmer since I already had those two instrument mics so close. Ran everything out of the "tape output" line into my MacBook Pro and into GarageBand. The percussion was set up in a circular fashion using 3 instrument mics all with varying EQ settings. Just played with it until it sounded crisp, but not crispy! :?
