PJ plays SOUNDGARDEN tunes

So tell me what you guys think...
Let me preface this in saying that I definitely do NOT want them to end up like Velvet Relvolver playing some Guns N Roses tunes and some Stone Temple Pilots tunes... BUT...
I think it would be cool for them to introduce a new cover into there set and it be a Soundgarden tune. Like, it would be totally money if they broke out Pretty Noose or Burden in My Hand or something. It would play homage to Matt and the fans would totally eat that shit up. Ed would KILL the vocals on some of those! Just the occasional cover played equally as often as something like Gimme Some Truth from back in the day.
What do you think?

Not only is it a fucking great riff, but I think it's one of the SG songs Ed would sound good singing. I think Applebite would be good too, but it's too... I don't wanna say slow, but I do think it'd kill the momentum of a PJ show.

And on topic.. I see no need for PJ to cover SG.. unless of course they really want to, which seems kind of weird to cover a band from your own era and genre that was as well known, even IF you share the same drummer now. The only way I would understand this behavior was if it was in tribute or if you had a special appearance at one of your shows with another member of SG.. which I truly hope doesn't happen in my presence if that person has the initials CC. I WOULD however sit through a performance of Ed and CC doing Hunger Strike. I would just plug my ears and make child-like "muh muh muh mmmmm" sounds while Chris sang his verses. I think if someone totally lost it during that background screaming he does and choked him to death, any judge/jury/peer would rule the defendant not guilty by reason of SANITY.

Lukin > Ty Cobb would be pretty sick.
