TO ME

Steven Tyler wrote "dude looks like a lady" about Vince Neill
and
Sully Erna wrote "cryin' like a bitch" about Nikki Sixx

so i've heard
fuck 'em if they can't take a joke

"what a long, strange trip it's been"

I'm pretty sure the Dude was for vince, but I was unaware of Cryin and Sixx.

And I must disagree with you to some degree about how much they sucked....Too Fast For Love, Shout at the Devil and Theatre of Pain were some pretty bad ass albums, especially the first two in my book. After that, bleh...expect for Wild Side

Funny thing...my best friend in junior high worshipped the ground the Crue walked on...it was truly ridiculous. So, he moved away and we lost touch for many many years until we recently came in contact. Got to talking a bit and he said...this is great...his favorite band today is....MOTLEY CRUE!! Are you kidding me? I haven't seen the guy but I'm guessing he's still rockin' that mean ass mullet and wearing his vintage Dr. Feelgood tee
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

we can't really laugh at that though, I mean, a lot of folks make fun of us for being fans of PJ after "grunge died".

I don't like their music though, as it's just so ridiculous to me. But good party music. I'll give it that.

  • yeah, Cryin' Like A Bitch was written about Sixx while Godsmack were on tour with them. He explained in interviews about the diva behaviour of one person in particular. He then went on to say that he thought Vince, Mick, and Tommy were all cool guys. Obvious dig to Sixx.

I went through a serious hair metal phase in middle school in the mid to late 80s and was really into them. However, I basically stopped caring after 1989. Having said that, Shout at the Devil is still one of my all-time favorite albums!
  • Motley Crue is light years beyond the crap that they unfairly get lumped with, and I'm in no way ashamed to admit that!
