    Single Video Theory

Hopefully someday we will get some DVD releases of past & present rehearsal jam's.
Would love to see some behind the scene footage of those Vs. & Binaural day's.

Well, there are some little non-official birdies out tweeting about non-official MSG DVDs these days... though I think those birdies are referring to more recent MSG shows...

But if you're looking for something official - I agree with Demetrios here - Single Video Theory is phenomenal.

The Daughter tag at the Showbox is War. I'd get that one just for that one song (or tag). I get goose bumps when I watch that.

Thanks for the info everyone. I am going to order a few things from the 10C tomorrow morning anyway and wanted to add an official DVD too. I'm looking for a "live show" feel.

Shipping and handling to Israel make ordering from Amazon expensive for me.

Showbox is the best performance overall. The setlist may be lacking in some people eyes but going strictly by how good the "concerts" on each dvd are, Showbox is the winner.

Ed rides the pony during DTE, for cryin out loud.

Cornice is good for the scenery, but it's gotta be their weakest vid release to date.

    Please elaborate.

After comparing the set lists, the decision is between showbox and touring band.

I think Cornice isn't the best if you want just music. Its a documentary really. Its a great dvd but if you want a concert then MSG / Touring Band / Showbox is what you want.

I might have to order the showbox this month I think. Can't believe I still haven't got this yet and I love Riot Act.

At about the 1:30 mark Ed dons the Bush mask, does some go-go moves then finishes with a pretty sweet little dance move.
  • depends on what you want. Touring band is great for live music. svt is a great documentary on the creation of yield. I love both for different reasons.

If you haven't already made a decision, I know I'm late to the thread) here is a run down:

Touring band 2000- a Montage of some of the 2000 tour shows. Pretty awesome set and cool extras

Live at the Garden- Incredible show from NYC, awesome energy from band and crowd. Has a bad ass version of "crown of thorns" Extras include: dead man,a look at tour life behind the scenes, an easter egg of Ed with Corin Tucker doing Hunger strike.

Single video theory- The making of Yield basically, studio time, explaining the concept of yield/ songs. Awesome demo/ first incriments of Yield songs.

Imagine in Cornice- Great dvd montage of Italy shows from 2005 or 2006 (can't remember) has good song selection and a montage of having fun touring Italy.

I would go for touring band or msg. In my opinion though the video quality of touring band isnt that great. If that's a factor for you at all i would definitely go with msg. Immagine's video quality is the best but it only has a few songs mixed with some behind the scenes stuff. You definitely can't go wrong with this either. Showbox is a warm up show and i don't think the overall performance was that great. Definitely the pj dvd i watch the least.

So my recommendation is to look at the touring band and msg setlists and see which one you like best.

    So this is the outcome:
Seeing the setlist and the bonus stuff on TB I was leaning towards getting that one. But after watching a few youtube vids of showbox and seeing Eddies energy for that show, I wanted that one.

I ended up getting both
