edge 102.1 rocks! i remembered during the no code tour, they broadcasted thy berlin '06 radio broadcast .. via live!

i still have the maxell tape of the broadcast.
it was an amazing night! :)
  • I fucking hate the edge.
It used to be good, but recently I've had a longer commute to school and I noticed that from the time I leave my house to the time I get to school an hour and a half later I've only heard 2 songs. Fucking Blundell. He's funny, but lesbians, cripples and the word sphincter are only funny the first couple times.
    "The customer...is always...an ASSHOLE"

    "The world fascinates me."

"Doesn't mean that much to me, to mean that much to you"

yeah, i really find that show unlistenable. blundell is terrrrrrrrible. if you want to hear tomorrows dean blundell show, listen to last months howard stern show.

So true, yet they say they're being ripped off by 107.9.
    And psychic Nikki...come on.
I miss the good ol' days of Humble and Fred. *drifts back to the 90's...again:) *

  • This is not related solely to the edge, but the recent radio trend of advertising how they only have two minutes of advertising really bugs me.
I never noticed a large amount of advertising until they started advertising that they were cutting down on advertising.

The edge really isn't a big Pearl Jam radio station. The only songs you ever hear on the edge are from 10, and sometimes you will hear Daughter, Betterman or Last Kiss.

Apparently Last Kiss is their most requested PJ song

Yeah, I agree, bring back Humble and Fred. There is absolutely nothing funny about the current morning show's juvenile, toilet humour. I can't even stand the sound of their voices.

    ...and so it begins!

Too bad I have to listen to 80% crap in between. They said they're going to "dig deep into the Pearl Jam catalogue".....

    we'll see....

the 1st doubleshot of PJ played just after 2pm for the PJ weekend on the Edge included Daughter and Dissident, and i just heard Last Kiss on the way to the bank. God knows the RITFW version w/ Bono from the Toronto '05 show is going to get plenty of airplay but i'd love to be surprised with, oh i don't know, Last Exit blasting on the airwaves!

FINALLY...the Edge does not play PJ enough on a regular basis.

I have written them probably a dozen times over the past five years indicating they need to play more PJ...and not just the "hits"

9 PJ tunes in 2.5 hrs....sounds like their sticking to it!

I was hoping for an Ongoing History about Pearl Jam or Eddie this week. hmmm...No such luck though. Months and months ago Allen Cross had a list of upcoming shows and he was going to do a Vedder Frontman series....I have yet to hear it.

Does anyone know if he has done one?

I'm so with you on this. I rarely listen to the Edge only 'cause I can't stand the DJ's. The morning show is like listening to a bunch of 14 year old boys tell fart jokes....
