Tried uploading pic

Hi I tried uploading a picture and it came from my documents from my computer....the pic that showed up on my profile was of another chick....how does this happen? can you fix it? thanx

Runaway, here are several things I've learned about uploading pictures onto this website-->

For avatars, you have to go through a few steps. First, you have to edit the picture you want to use to make sure that it is small enough. 100x100 is the largest picture you can use.

Second, you need to delete the current one and choose the one off your computer. The first time you do this, it will only delete the one you have. You must then choose the one off your computer AGAIN and this second time it will show up. I don't know why we must do that step twice, but that's how this website works.

If you're just trying to put a picture up into a post, it can't be coming from your computer. For a post, the picture must be on a photo website so that you can link to it with an http address of somekind. (I use photobucket for my pictures.) There are also size limitations for the art page you need to know about. The largest size you can put up is 480 high by 640 wide.

thank you, it was a trippy thing...some other chick showed up from "my documents" that I have never seen--weird

I just tried SIX TIMES to change my avatar! Gah! When I delete the old picture, it disappears with no problem. But when I upload a new one, the old one comes back.

I even logged out so the board would forget me. But when I logged in again and uploaded the new pic, the old one reappeared.

I want to display this adorable photo of baby Greer that I took on her four week Birthday Friday:

It's the proper avatar size. I've been using it over on "The Fun Mouse.com" and it displays flawlessly.
