Missed Calls ( poem recall ? )

oh my, lookout
the sun’s going down,..
who am I, to ask you
for less than I can bear?
shoulders carry
the weight of your world
this creation
abomination,..
enough pain to go around

a splinter, a cell
no way to know
a scream, a prayer
goes out,..
have you heard?
a whisper, a law
another unknown song
a wave, it breaks
a heart,…. stops but this you know

oh my, lookout
another cry goes unheard
it seems, today
God’s not taking any calls
oh yes, I must confess,
I’m not sure if She ever does
I’ll be waiting, over here
for an answer or just a sign

a quiet voice trails off,. . .

    Chemo on this type of cancer has a 75% success rate,.. and is supposedly not hard on the dog either way.
    the doc that she saw last night eased my concern about her age too, saying her black lab lived to be 19 :o having had a major surgery at age of 18.
    Last night Princess got up and brought me her ball and wanted to play, and was bouncing around,.. she's not giving up at all,... So if she is going to fight, so am I. If its not hard on her and gives me another 6 months even, its worth every penny to me.
