It was better than I expected. We watched it twice to notice clues in it.

Did you think that the bandage on his forehead implied that they'd done some surgery before he was on the ferry?

I noticed that his partner also didn't know how to hold his gun the first time too and it made more sense when I thought about it later...

I like movies that make more sense the second time!!

The ending, I guess. He thought it was depressing.

well was he in the "still crazy" camp or the "not crazy but cant live with the guilt" camp? I guess either way things arent too optimistic... but i think the latter is pretty cool :)

Excellent film. So many of the crap movies that come out you know the ending before it's 10 minutes old but this kept me in suspense until the end. Now I shall read the book.

I was disappointed with the ending when it finally clicked about half way through it. It had so much more potential I guess!

overrated. the ending sucked. could have been a really awesome movie, instead it was average at best.

I started to think that something was not right when that patient passed him the note to run while the other guy was away...

Good movie, one of the better ones I've seen lately.

    This. A lot.

I wanted to like it, and the technique he used was great (editing/color saturation/sound design) but it had a lot of potential that just sort of sputtered out about 2/3 of the way through.

Yup. Kind of my feeling. Definitely better than a lot of other movies these days but it just didn't quite reach its potential.

I liked it, but I really did not like the ending. I wanted it to end like a good thriller with the 'good guys' winning. And I'm in the 'no longer crazy but can't live with the guilt' camp.

I feel like that was as much of a victory as the audience could hope for

did you want him to return home and rebuild his life? stay on the island as a guard? be BFF's with Gandhi?

there was no chance of it ever being a happy ending... but all things considered I'm glad Leo's character resolved things on his terms.

While I wanted the happy ending, I was pleased with what they did. It was the right ending..

Although at the time, it frustrated me, I'm glad 2/3 through it made me start to question everything. I'm not sure what people wanted who weren't happy with the ending, but I can only assume a more typical, good guys win, ending.

I read the book first, which I enjoyed but didn't really love.

I didn't like the movie, because knowing the plot twist I ended up looking for clues. I did like the set, though, very creepy and fitting.

Also, I tend cringe at fake Boston accents.
