  • I'm still on the fence on this one as I've read a couple of times on some threads and blogs that the company responsible for this reissue, Music on Vinyl, is notorious for using CD masters for their vinyl pressings. If that's the case, then the sound quality won't be any different from my ITW CD. Hmmmm... any reliable source out there who can debunk or verify this rumour?

    Good point .

it can sound like a CD. im just not paying the 300+ dollars these fools think there original itw is worth . so for me im off the fence and riding .

its just not possible to have original everything sometimes u have to take the re issue .

i just hope they sound better then those Tools. I bought the alice in chains - Dirt . EU. and it sounded great .

This is the response I had when I asked if it was true it was going to be released (my original email at the bottom)
    Hello Leanne

We've been working on the Into The Wild soundtrack for a while and have
been graced the permission to release it on Music on Vinyl.
We've scheduled it for September (not August) and because of the
modern techniques, some databases around the globe already list it.

Database entires are always ahead of our site-updates, but we'll properly
announce this -and the other September releases- on our site in a couple
    of weeks.

If you live in the UK you can pre-order it at most indie record stores or
    sites such as:

    DIVERSE VINYL: http://www.diversevinyl.com/htm/home.php
    WHAT RECORDS : http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/
    JUNO : http://www.juno.co.uk/
You may also find us listed at Amazon (also we have sellers on Amazon
    marketplace) and HMV.CO.UK

    Kind regards,

    Angelo Schifano

    > Hi,
    > I have heard rumours of a release in August of a limited re-run of the
Into the Wild vinyl by Eddie Vedder from yourselves. Could you confirm
this, and also if true, where it can be purchased.
    > Thanks!

Looks like I created an uproar. Into the Wild is now the top seller on the web page I posted. As of two days ago it wasn't even in the top sellers. I am always happy to help out fellow ten club members. I guess they will also sell some on this site as well, but those should sell as fast as tickets to MSG.

Good luck to all who gets their hands on this limited addition album.

I agree. If it's not re-issued by 10c, Monkeywrench, or somehow Ed, I don't want it, it might as well be a bootleg copy.
I shit and I stink. I'm real, join the club.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

    AWESOME!!!
I love it. Even though I already have the 'Into The Wild' album... i am HAPPY as fuck that fans will be able to pick up a copy for themselves and not have to pat some guy 300 bucks. I collect the Pearl Jam vinyl because i love them and don't give a shit about speculative monetary value.

    Hail, Hail!!!
  • neither do I. I buy vinyl to play it, not to dust it. But I also don't really want an unofficial copy.
