Covering Pearl Jam

I finally found some people (and time) to jam with since I moved to my town a year ago, and I'm putting together a list of songs to play - open mic nights, acoustic shows, etc.

What Pearl jam songs have all of you covered? Which have you found to be very difficult to play out acoustic? Which work best?
Any other thoughts?

  • Last Kiss (not orignal I know) works well plugged or unplugged. We are currently working on Johnny Guitar but proving difficult with a 3 piece. Try Glorified G. & Smile.

Smile is a good suggestion...here are a few others:

    Porch
    Garden
    Go
    Immortality
    Satan's Bed
    Hail, Hail
    Life Wasted
    WWS
    State of..
    Present Tense
    In Hiding
    Light Years
    Insignificance
    Black

    but most of all...have fun!

  • Just Breathe goes over the best of almost any song I play. Whether people know it or not. And to furthur an earlier point, at my acoustic cover gig this week, the one pj song requested was...."Last Kiss" :)

  • Corduroy is always a good one, and I think one of the most fun songs to play overall. I end up playing some of it almost everytime I pick up a guitar :)

    Other PJ I do:

    Present Tense (DADGAD tuning)
    Can't Keep
    The Fixer
    Black
    Given to Fly (DADGAD tuning)
    WWS
    SOLAT
    Faithful

Better Man is another that is relatively easy to learn and play .

I'll move tomorrow if it means being able to be part of an Acoustic Pearl Jam Duo!
