i have a handful of regrets in my life, and one is that i did not go see pearl jam when they played my hometown (halifax, ns) when they played here. for whatever stupid reason, that i can't even remember, i had turned my back on them and had no interest in seeing them by the time they came here. within the last few years, i rediscovered their music, and came to decide that they, as a 'greater than the sum of its parts' band, are fucking awesome. drunken, and watching immagine in cornice again, i realized what a once in a life time opportunity i missed. i apologize to them for turning my back, and express my regret, for the record, before my membership expires.

no, it's just money i can't afford to spend. if they play here again, i'll buy a ticket like normal folk do.
  • It happens, getting bored with certain bands and then rediscovering them later. I have rediscovered OKComputer about 17 times since '97.

Got bored with Pearl Jam in 2002 and didn't have any interest in seeing Pearl Jam in 03-04 so I just ate my ticket to Pine Knob. Got fanatical again after listening to a Tokyo boot I bought in 05 from those tours, got into Avacado a lot, seen them 3 times in 06, now, here I am losing interest again after they skipped Detroit (I sold my Chicago tickets) and I found Backspacer to be a mixed bag of great songs and unforgiveable moments.

But yet, here I am listening to PJ radio and I am thinking it is the best invention ever. There are certain PJ era's which are untouchable (Corduroy-I Got Id-Long Road era for one) and I will always still come back after a hibernation period.

And trust me, the Pistons are not going anywhere. 100% certain of that.
