Just got home, holy FUCK they are so good. I saw them earlier this year and again.....mind blown. And has anyone mentioned how freaking sexy the whole thing is? Alison, Jack, just everything. It's like DAMN. Nothing hotter than talent :D

And why is it that nothing cures thirst after a show like a slurpee? lol

I do a half inch layer of cherry, then about an inch layer of coke, then another 1/2 inch cherry, then topped with coke for the rest. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I'll have to try raspberry next time! :D

Oh and Jack is the fucking man. I'm all riled up now

Ahhhh that's too bad but yes, I can understand your choice when being presented with those two options :) hope you can see them next time they come around. They are just so amazing, all of them are incredibly talented and just fucking rock. Alison's stage presence is mesmerizing.

And dont' even get me started on Mr. White. meow lol

Wow that vinyl sounds amazing! I thought of signing up for that vault thingy but it's a little rich for my blood!

Saw the Dead Weather in Portland(7/24) and like said above they FUCKING ROCKED!!!

They played a small venue(The Crystal Ballroom) just like the Raconteurs(The Wonder Ballroom) did.

I took my son(14) and he was headbanging and shaking his fist the whole time. It was his first rock concert and he had the time of his life. They opened with the song Portland, Oregon. Played for about 90 minutes with a 4 song encore. Certainly one of the best newer acts I've seen.

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.
  • Nice! I'm going to see them tonight, too, at Ram's Head in Baltimore. Should be a good one 8-)

you guys are in for a real treat. I loved seeing them at ACL, but I must confess, I did slip off to watch 3 or 4 Ben Harper songs Midset then back to Dead weather for the last 2 songs.

Saw DW at House of Blues back in May, and it was amazing. I was 5th row. The chemistry Jack and Allison have in incredible. It doesn't just feel like JW's band either, even though his popularity has without a doubt been a driving force to the bands popularity. Great show. Check out some you tube footage of their shows to get an idea of awesome. Allison Mosshart could quite possibly be the modern day Courtney Love. By that I mean, a fierce rock and roll frontwoman who could/ and probably would kick someones ass if needed, and on top of that deliver an A+ rock show. Courtney does seem to be more blunt and in your face in terms of comments though.

Allison is a badass. And when she and Jack sing "Will there be enough water"....damn. They almost mirror each other in their singing style and energy. The whole band is on point...for those who haven't seen them yet, it's a real treat indeed :)

They came on at about 10:30 and played until midnight. Only took a couple of minute break before the encore. Not the longest show but worth every second.

Can't believe anyone would stop watching the Dead Weather to see Ben Harper.

5 hours is nothing, find yourself some ppl to chat to and it goes quite quickly....i stood 10+ for both paul mccartney and stevie wonder at hard rock calling this year :)

so they ended up coming on at 8:50, playing until about 10:30. pretty fucking insane show. jack white is amazing, but allison mosshart is something else. all of them have so much talent. such a great band.

  • Yeah I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the show. It was a pretty phenomenal show, actually. I wasn't sure what to expect; never seen Dead Weather (or Jack White for that matter) live before and I can't say I'm the biggest fan in the world, but the show was top notch. The opener...I think their name was Harlem, were awful, IMO.

Dead Weather are amazingly tight and the songs come alive SO much more live than on the album...while I realize that's usually the case with any good band, it definitely holds true with these guys. My ears are still ringing, would def see them again! Allison is also hott, too.

The show was spectacular! Allison totally Rocked her "Let's Rock this out" persona, Dean with his organ and guitar totally played it like it was on Fire! Jack L. with his bass lines, were awesome. And ofcourse Jack White with his drumming and guitar riffs totally made it a great night to see a show at prospect park. This band is totally worth seeing. I hope they come back to NYC soon.
