jesus, what a beautiful film. the ending was heartwrenching. pixar is on a hell of a roll here. 2008 with wall e, and 2009 with up and now toy story 3, unreal. they can do no wrong.

gorgeous film

It was wonderful. I will admit that I cried twice, both times I saw it. (I'm a mom - it's ok :D )

Big fan of the first two - have to go and see this asap. :)

When I was younger I really wanted a buzz lightyear toy! (is 20 too old for one now?! ... no way! :D )

its hard to really put into words what pixar has done these last 3 films. walle and up were easily in the top tier of films for 2008 and 2009 and i was rallying for up to win best picture this past year.

How the hell do they keep topping each film? Even the short at the start, day and night was brilliant.

the scene in up where its just music and the old guy is thinking about his life is about as beautiful a scene as ever exists in recent memory. yet, the scenes in the garbage dump especially the scene before "the claw" creatures rescue them, and then the ending rival any non animated drama movie in terms of raw emotion, any film period really.

i mean, these animated or CG films are just that animated and CG. Yet, the fact people are obviously so emotionally into the story and the characters, of all pixar films is a testament to the genius of everyone involved in its creation.

How does Pixar top this? Its gonna be near impossible, but i sure as hell wont count them out!

pixar seems to realize that "kids" movies can be more than just selling merchandise and press although toy story and pixar are a part of that whole scheme.

Taking my 5 year daughter and her friend on Sunday and am excited to see it after all the great hype. Love Pixar movies. My nearly 3 year old loves Wall-E and Cars. I loved Up - the kids not so much.

I cried. I loved it. Easily in my top 10 movies of all time :)

A friend of mine that is a "tough guy", when I asked him if he took his kids to see it, his response was "yeah, i wept"..........lol, it's that good!

I agree. It was visually beautiful as much as it was emotionally. A fantastic way to end the Toy Story saga....if it has ended.

The girlfriend and I loved it.

Chuckles the clown cracked me the fuck up when it first showed his face...the hardcore mood set was just comical.

I haven't gone to a single one of these with kids....Come to think of it I haven't gone to any pixar movies with kids. They're wonderful movies and Toy Story has been one of my favorite movies ever since it came out in 1995(i graduated high school that year)

This last one was wonderful too! I'll admit, I haven't seen Up but, I own it. Wall E was ok. I think for Pixar, the best movies are the Toy Story movies by far but they always insert the wonderful intelligent humor for the adults watching. I love it!

Finally saw it yesterday. It was beautiful.
Pixar is amazing at making beautifully emotional thoughtful stories that hit the mark big time with adults but not quite with kids.
My 5 year old daughter and her friend liked it but definitely didn't love it, they were pretty restless by the end 1 1/2 hours is long enough for a childrens movie.
Unfortunately the same happened when we watched Up and Wall-E - I LOVED them, the kids, not so much. Now give them Shrek or Kung Fu Panda or Barbie and they will be glued to the screen. Slap stick and comedy works best with kids.
Oh well the next Pixar movie that comes out I may just leave the kids at home.

Agreed. I'm not a parent, but I can definitely agree to this. For the most part, emotionally lacking, not too much thinking comedy is best for kids.

I remember being a kid and loving comedies that I love even more now and when I was a kid I'd laugh...but was a little unsure as to why I was laughing. :? I think I could just sense something that I knew was supposed to be funny.

This is true. I don't know any kids that love that Jesse montage scene in TS2. It's mostly adults that like it so much.

Brought my brother to see it the day it came out. He was almost as excited as I was to see it. Not gonna lie, I definitely cried during it.

As Paul Rudd would say, Totally... Tote Magotes. I love TS 1 & 2, and with TS3 it's almost like they outdid themselves. It could have been a rehash (story is always similar, the toys are in trouble and they have to find their way home), but who knew they would have made a killer cool prison escape movie!? The new characters were all great. The climax is really intense, and the ending made me cry too. I want to go see it again in 3D but I know I'm gonna cry even more cause I already know what's gonna happen. :) Pixar really can't make a bad movie... my least favorite movie from them was Cars, and it's not even that bad, I just wasn't into it.
