i just checked my profile and i am paid up through May of 2009.

i think the last time i bought some membership years was in 2006. it might be time to buy a few more.

But anyway, it got me to thinking that there are DEFINITELY people paid up further than me.

HOW FAR ARE YOU PAID UP FOR?

I'm member since 2006 only and I buy membership every year.
I don't see the point of paying several years at a time.
But you remind me I have to renew before April 10... :D

I assume you just buy more than 1 membership and it will automatically count for several years...

WHY would you ever do that?
i mean, why fork over your $$$ soooo far in advance, for what exactly? you can't remember to renew each year? besides, 10c sends annual *reminders* nowadays...you could mark your calendar, etc. i just don't see a point. so no, i pay every year, maybe a month before i am due. so as of right now, i am paid up until july of this year.

OK but when they raise the price $10, we get old price, plus when money is tight many people might not be able to do it, so when money is good, stock up. Do you buy 3 gallons of gas when you are low, or do you fill the tank?

I was out of the loop for a number of years but hasn't the cost of membership only raised once(from $1 to $20)? And I rarely fill my tank these days, my credit is really not that good.

No, it has gone up slowly, in small increments. I think I originally paid $5 in 1994, then it went to $10, then $15, and now $20 as of a year or two ago.

Well i paid up quite a few years when it was 10 bucks

    it's now 20.

So i saved myself some money huh?

You never know what year costs are going to go up. And you never know when you may fall on hard times and be unable to renew.

After being in the club for 12 years, i am CERTAINLY not giving up my seniority. haha

i wish i had done that. i didnt know you could. and i did give up my seniority : (

im still not in that bad of shape, but would be quite a few rows closer at the shows had i not gone through extreme memory lapse back in 98 and forgot to renew. only missed it by 6 months too. pissed me off. oh well everything happens for a reason yeah?
    Peace, Love.

Until sometime in the past few years (i guess between 2003 and now) it was NOT possible, at least, that is what i was told.

I know this because at one point i actually emailed 10C directly, concerned because my membership expires mid December, and it has caused me to not receive several xmas singles (because technicaly i was not a "current" member at the cut off date) ... the response i got back from Kerensa was, "i'm sorry, memberships can only be paid for the current year" ...

So... that this has started happening kind've confounds me. Especially since i know for a fact that some people paid up multiple years before the last price increase.
