DEPRESSION

I always tried to put you on a pedestal
but now I think its too far out of reach
you cant even hear me anymore
not even this stupid speech

and im left pendulous
swinging back and forth
with no end to this
cause the only one who
would untie the knot
has left me to myself
with just these thoughts

i hid my sorrow
and its pressure is building
i feel it travel to my throat
my head will hit the ceiling

ACCEPTANCE

No coming back
I know this now
i cant follow the tracks
for nothing can be found

there is no rainbow
no pot of gold
but nothing can be gained
being bitter or cold

I'll go on in life
some will smile,some just pass
but same breath is felt
whether its a laugh or a gasp

I'll feel more pain
an inevitability
an attempt to change that
would be a futility

So i walk foward
one small step at a time
I'll try to keep from having
to fight for peace of mind

though nothing comes cheap
im sure more fights ensue
but i'll fight no longer

And we certainly all know that the goal of any poem is simply to make it short and or compact enough so that more people who prefer reading short and or compact things would read more of the shortness and or compactness which is contained in, of, or around that same said short and or compact thing.

i was actually going for a (hopefully 1st in a series as long as laziness doesnt kick in lol) mini, 1/2 hr-ish rock opera(mainly in an egotistical attempt to combat U2 and green day) type thing based off the 5 stages of death and its application towards other circumstances and life events. so i actually do look at it as 5 separate pieces that come together to form a whole.
