Just discovered the John Butler Trio.
Its a great kind of music to listen to , not like PJ , but very listenable...
Great guitar play of JB , hope to see them some time with PJ on a show.

They were pretty good when I saw them.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V

Oh my yes, JBT has been one of my Top 10 Fav bands since I stumbled upon him.

One of his songs was included in 15 free tracks I got for buying an iPod. I thought it was Incubus! Figured it out and been buying everything I can find of his ever since!

The tones of the acoustic guitar mic'd, going through a marshall stack, mic'd and mixed all together is simply mind-bending. One of the most unique tones I've heard and instantly fell in love with.

I have been kickin myself for the past few years missing his Bay Area Appearances over and over again. Found out he was at a small club the DAY AFTER he played, and then he plays some big festivals around here and I'm never in town for those.

JBT is perhaps one of 3 bands (PJ, Rush) that I'm considering dropping some coin on travelling to go see!
He was on tour in Aussie (where he's from) as Pearl Jam was touring and I had high hopes they'd cross paths, that the band could catch his vibe and hook him up with some opener gigs.

I'm looking forward to YEARS of great tunes from this act....
    [sic] happens

yeah, he's American. Lives and was discovered in Australia but he's from California.
