This is a great and generous thread!
If you were to rate these purely by sound quality, what shows are the top 5 to download?
I have randalls island night 2 which is really decent (a -/ b+)
    Any others to suggest?
    Thanks for spreading the jam!

whilst I await recomendations, I can again recommend the 9/29/96 famous randalls island show..

audience recordings quality tend to vary from song to song since the taper may move around or people around him may quiet down on certain songs..

Highlights of this boot IMO are:

Animal (stopped by Ed mid song due to a fan falling down and then restarted at 6:14 minute mark right where they stopped! How they do this is beyond me?)
    and
Tremor Christ all the way through Whipping.

wherever the taper was standing during these songs the sound quality became A/ A+.

I love Jack Irons drumming too..

Its funny at one point between songs you can hear someone near the person say "is he taping ME?"..

Yeah lady he came all the way to a Pearl Jam concert to tape you rattling on..!

    LMAO!

    Keep listening to the boots!

Sorry it's been quite a while since I actually listened to most of these shows. I'm pretty sure I recall both Seattle shows being solid recordings. In fact most of the US tour are very good recordings. With the exception of Istanbul and Budapest, which are actually horrible, this is probably one of the best tours for fan recordings. An of course there's the Berlin FM broadcast which is stellar.

So after more than a year I decided to keep going with this :) Added Berlin and Hamburg this morning.

**I highly recommend Hamburg. Excellent show and very good audience recording.**

    Thank you very much!

What's the chance the band has got soundboard recordings of the Budapest and Istanbul shows?

    You're welcome :)

I hope they have and release those recordings. Probably the worst sounding of the audience recordings and I still listen to Istanbul anyway because it's a great set! We can only hope...

This is great, thanks a lot!!!

I just have one problem - I can't download Berlin disc2 - whenever I get (5th attempt) to 114MB it freezes. No problem with rest of downloads - super fats, takes 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Ha! This made me smile! It was only last year and it feels so long ago.
