The Open Championship this year, in conjunction with the 150th edition of this historic event, is being held this week at the true home of golf, the Old Course at St. Andrews Scotland.

Many great storylines for this week:
Can Tiger rebound after a poor year on and off the course to reclaim the Claret Jug at a place he has won before? Can Phil win his first ever Open Championship and garner a little goodwill on the other side of the pond? Can Stuart Cink capture enough of the magic he found last year at Turnberry? Will Old Tom Watson have another go at youth and contend on Sunday? Will we finally have a British champion?

Some of my players to watch this week: Ian Poulter, Jerry Kelly, Lee Westwood

From what I've heard the weather is gonna be nasty, serious winds and some rain.
Don't think we'll be seeing any below par if thats the case.
    This weekend we rock Portland

According to ESPNs Gene Wojciechowski, the UK media ripped Tiger apart today, asking him 35 questions (18 golf-related questions, 17 post sex-scandal questions). He answered them all in the same robot-like voice we've heard the last 5 months.

I guess they said the weather was so bad today, all pre-tourney events were canceled. A lot of guys didn't even practice today. Forecast looks shitty for tomorrow, but gets progressively better during the weekend.

Anybody wanna venture a guess at winning score? I say +4.

they say the weather is gonna suck balls but i don't see how the final score won't be in red figures ... it's wide open there ... guys will be hitting greens from 350 yds away with a 7-iron ...

Rory McIlroy - 9 under, awesome!

There's hardly any wind, not at all like St Andrews. Things may change over the next hours and days methinks.

WTF! Mickelson look like a pink Blancmange. Looks like he's after a job as a waiter in a Gay Bar.

    The highlight of the day.

Crane top camera pans around showing wonderful views of the course, beach and sea. In the corner of the beach is a sand drawing of a large cock and balls.:lol:

Hopefully, but more importantly did nobody else see the large cock and balls drawn in the sand yesterday?

Dunk must have passed out face down in the sand trap.

All the guys on the course now are just trying to tread water. Everyone that played this morning made their numbers and the afternoon guys are being brutalized by the wind. Unfair, but that's the way it goes. Oosthuizen and Calc will have to brave the elements tomorrow afternoon. It's theirs to lose at this point.
