I could really go for another Ed Solo record... someday.

I LOVE PEARL JAM... but I think Into The Wild and the tours that followed were my favorite PJ related stuff to happen in the last 5 years of the band. It was just... wonderful.

Anyhow... this thread is just about a desire for another Ed Solo effort somewhere down the road. Now that they are done touring for now... chilling with family and catching some beach time. (I'm assuming) I think now is the time when this type of thing could develop. Just wanted to throw it out there that I would be so happy if news ever dropped of Eds next solo effort. No film association... no big hoopla... just another soft strum, Ed jam record. A little surf town tour under an alias to follow wouldn't bum me out either.

Something I can pop in and take a sunny day drive to would be so lovely.

Can you dig? :P

I would agree about not being tied to a movie. So that way he has full artistic control of what he wants to do. It might be interesting to hear some solo stuff using an electric guitar.

Honestly outside of the other guys playing the music, a lot of the songs from Pearl Jam are Ed "solo" stuff. I mean he writes the music and lyrics from so many songs.

But saying that, I would love to see what he could do with a straight up solo record.

This. I love Eddie, but in my opinion, you can only do so many solo acoustic songs before some of them start to blend together.

I'd be willing to bet that Ed has at least an album worth of original material just sitting around collecting dust. Hopefully he has a solo album again sometime soon. However I would also like to see a straight solo record and not a soundtrack with songs relating to a movie.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

I've been only to one concert for each of Eddie's tour, LA, Chicago, and Baltimore and it's another experience, if pearl jam is like church, an Eddie show is like a meeting with the prophet 8-)

    I'm ready for another Eddie's tour :)

I like this... and agree with it. The Ed shows were so pleasant and personal. Maybe the next time around people will behave a little better too and there won't be so many idiots yelling out. <---- Sorry for calling you an Idiot if you were one of those idiots but I don't really appreciate you and your latent disregard for everyone else's enjoyment.

Don't know about that?! After hearing "of the earth" I've got the feeling there's alot more to come from the guys yet. Might have to wait awhile but it'll be worth it! But if ed feels the need to treat us to another solo trip that would be great inbetween times!!

I would absolutely love another eV solo album and I agree with everyone else who said that it should not be tied to a movie. The solo concerts were amazing!!! I would definitely go to those again! :)

Well then Arq... You're off the hook this time buddy... BUT I'M WATCHING YOU!

I guess my beef is this... SING! SING YOUR ASS OFF... I do... but part of what was so intimate and special about the Ed Solo gigs was it was like you were sitting in his living room listening to him play and tell stories. Just becuase he's not playing doesn't mean its a good time to shout "DAUGHTER!!!" or some seriously stupid shit like what I heard at all the solo shows I went to... 5 I think. THAT IS SOME OF THE BEST PART... ED TELLING STORIES. He's a great story teller... has always been and has gotten better at it over time being the MC of so many concerts. In Hawaii... Ed told a hilarious story about going to this gym and walking in on a guy blow drying his butt hair. It was hilarious. Most of the stuff he says is quite witty. So please... SING the song.... and then STFU. Thanks.

I love hearing Ed tell those stories too. The Maui show was funny as hell
