    Just went to the game last Sunday before they went west. Wife asked me at the game if he was still alive and I said yes. Then one week later he's gone. Well at least we have you on tape for Jeter to hold on too.

    RIP Bob. You were a great man. The times I went to Yankee games were great when you announced players (last game was 2004). The Yankee family will miss you. At least now you're up there with Joe D, the Mick, Thurm, and other stars you've announced.
