Iron Maiden 2010

Has anybody seen Maiden on this years tour? This is my first time seeing them, will be at the Pittsburgh show Wenesday. I don't know many songs off of the current setlist they are playing; just wondering if they are as great as i've been told?
I know we've been to Ohio and I know we've never been to Toledo, and i know i've never smiled while wearing a speedo.

Did you hear that Nickelback is a better band than Pearl Jam?
Yes, i've read about this great band known as Nickelback. I've never been blessed enough to see them live, but I hear they are going on tour with Buckcherry soon. I just hope they have a "Nickel Club" that I can join that allows me to buy presale tickets to this epic show!!

Hell yeah they are. I'm not seeing them on this tour but I saw them at Camden a few years ago and they were awesome.

Well I'm sure there's a lot of things we agree on. I just don't find your "drunken threads" to be very funny. Even here, you desperately seek attention but throwing your Nickelback joke into this Maiden thread. And I found it especially lame when you said in your last thread that people were giving you shit because you're black. 1) How could anybody know your race when we're on a message board? and 2) Nobody would give you shit because of your race anyway.
That being said, yes, Maiden rules and I'll pass whatever it is I'm smoking at that time your way if I ever catch ya at a show.

Can you feeeeeel it coming? Tomorrow night, my friend. I'm watching Flight 666 right now in prep well getting ready for bed & making the wife comfy. Unlike you, I have seen Maiden - it was 1997-ish with Blaze Bailey on vox. Truthfully it was a good show, the songs are the songs and they played a hell of a set, nearly 3 hours in the Arena District in Columbus, Ohio. It was awesome down there in the Arena District, metalheads everywhere. I remember drinking a good amount of Bud Ice (remember that one?) that day. A great, great day.
Bud Ice, Bud Dry, Red Dog, Red Wolf....all some of my favorite beers in high school!!
Enjoy the show!!! \m/

The show ruled! Great setlist, great stage, great energy, everything! I really like how Maiden is playing most songs from their recent albums. It truly legitimizes them as a "current" band, not just a nostalgia act. Bruce was just all over the place and his voice was in great form. The sound was very crisp & clear, and the solos sounded just beautiful for a lack of a better term.
The audience was very enthusiastic throughout, which was a nice surprise given the non-classic setlist. The classics, when played, did the loudest responses of course. Still, it was a great setlist & very interesting to see (I hope they release a live DVD from this tour, I would definitely grab it). I wish other bands would do this approach.
The setlist:
Wickerman
Ghost of the Navigator

Dublin 02 Arena - 22/6/10. Belfast Odyssey Arena - 23/6/10. London Hyde Park - 25/6/10. Berlin Wuhlheide - 30/6/10.
Manchester MEN - 20/06/12. Manchester MEN - 21/06/12
Saw 'em a few weeks back in Concord, CA ... on FATHER'S DAY! STANDING PIT at a local amphitheater (removed the orch seats)! I got within about 5 peeps from the rail, hair on the back of my neck went up, and I skipped back about 10 people as the mosh pit broke out about 3 songs in!!!
LONG interlude of songs I didn't know, none 80s/90s tunes, but I must say a few of them really shredded and I was pretty pumped all-in-all. Gave 'em my money for a fun time live, but I don't really see myself going out to buy their recent stuff (ie last 15 years worth, hehehe...)
Bruce is one heckuva frontman, consumate performer -- just awesome to watch. I think this like the 5th or 6th time I've seen Maiden! I gravitated over to D. Murray's side, he was always my fav and he doesn't dissapoint though I'd heard his ol' hands don't fly they way they used to. Something to be said for that 3-Ax-Attack though!
One of those songs midset had a slow/quiet intro/interlude part and a freakin rockin chorus and main verse that really f'n rocked! Been trying to figure it out ever since!
Good Times! And Dream Theater was fun too!
