Anyone else seen this movie?

I loved it. Kate Winslet did a phenomenal job, as well as Leo DiCaprio. The movie itself is very depressing, and left me kinda introverted for a few hours afterword. Even though it is set in the 1950's, the movie as very relevant to marriage and the "American Dream" as it ever was.

my uncle hated it, because he said it was so depressing, but i actually loved the film. sam mendes is one of the best filmmakers alive. he captures in just about every movie he does, the sense of modern day entrapment one feels in modern society.

I loved the film because kate and leo were flawless in the film. the film was perfectly directed and perfectly acted. i identified with the feelings of leo's character, trapped, lost, back into a corner, wanting more.

The film obviously was hugely influenced by Whos afriad of Virginia Wolfe

Great film and too bad it was kind of overlooked. Brilliant casting of Kate and Leo too. I always looked at it like what could have happened had Jack and Rose survived the Titanic (realize the time frame doesn't match up but still). It is depressing though and I totally get why people don't like it.

DiCaprio is my favorite actor going right now. The guy just picks one good role after another and is always challenging himself. And I can't wait for Inception.

And what else can you say about Kate Winslet? Love her. Sort of ironic though that she and her husband (Sam Mendes) divorced sometime after making that movie.

I mean it wasn't that big of deal, when I mean 'introverted' I just mean I was thinking about the movie and not necessarily being the loud mouth person I usually am :D
