Garden Angel

She is an absence
I imagine
All too vividly
Like acid eyes
Across boiling rock
Screaming the truth
Of this
Petrified condition

I was cold
Lifeless earth
Starving blind worms
She the shovel
Penetrating my silence
Overturning
And exposing this
Albino belly
To sun

In that light
I gave myself away
Surrendered
To long fingers
Warm breath
Water and seed
As resuscitation took hold
And she is oxygen
Keeping lungs
From total collapse

I like this one. It's not like your usual macho offering. ;)

Besides, I like garden statues. The old fashioned ones add a touch of something to a garden.

If he'd put a space between the letters, it would have been more obvious. Gard-e-n. ;)

It's all sound and notation sometimes. :D
