How did you all like his solo album? Anyone see him live on his current tour?

I saw him and he was great. A truly amazing guitar player. Go check him out if you get the chance because he freaking kills it. :)

I have seen him with Velvet Revolver when they played the Vodafone Arena in Melbourne in 2005. Was an epic gig!

The album is solid, nothing mind blowing, but a good listen none the less. I saw him live a few weeks ago at Download Festival, and it was awesome. It probably helped that he had Myles Kennedy singing for him - easily one of the best vocalists out there, particularly live.

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Myles has already refused to front VR, since his obligations with Alter Bridge.

To be honest I think Velvet Revolver is dead. Myles won't leave Alter Bridge, not even for Slash. But I do think this could be the start of a long on/off relationship between them, they've got great chemistry onstage.

Yea it does not seem very bright for VR although all members are still saying they are committed on finding a new vocalist. But then again not any vocalist will fit amongst them, its Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum after all (yea Dave too :P ).

But i hope they do find someone...Contraband was an insane album. Libertad was alright nothing great.

  • I would LOVE to hear a Slash / Eddie Vedder collaboration

Slash has a very bluesy way of playing, and it would be interesting to hear the dynamics of both of them together.

NO!. Love them both, but not together! Kinda like beer and rye! Don't mix em!

Yea a colab probably won't work that well, although i thought Slash's song with Cornell was awesome. But maybe one day PJ can get Slash out and ask him to play the Alive solo. That would be something! :D

That's too bad man. Would be nice to meet up with a fellow 10clubber! Do let me know if you're still coming down.
