I have just adopted a 6 yr old, mellow, sweet, female rottie, currently named princess, but we want to work on changing that.

Can someone help us think of a good name? (We already have a cat named Mookie, so you needn't go there. :-P)

It's a female, so we don't want anything masculine. Something PJ related would be a bonus. I'll let you know what I pick!

I understand your desire to change her name, princess is a little precocious, but she's six years old. She may like her name :) Won't she find it kind of confusing to have to respond to a new name?

On a side-note, we used to have a Rotty named Fluffy :o  :P HE was amazing and he really suited his name :lol:

after a bit of conversation, we'd all but settled on Lucille (BB King kicks ass, and so does his guitar). i think, surprisingly enough, Pearl just might fit her. Haven't decided, yet, so keep 'em coming.

Girl PJ names are hard. I liked the suggestions Pearl and Chloe.
Someone once suggested Evie (like E.V.)

I don’t think she will be too confused or upset if you change her name. A new beginning, a new name.
We get a lot of older rescue dogs and we generally change their names and they seem to be fine.

Names I've thought about for the next female dog who makes her way into my life...
    Pearljam
    Siren (from "Force of Nature")
Rival (she'd have to be kind of a tomboy for that)
Crazymary as mentioned by previous posters

This has nothing to do with PJ, but I've always wanted a female hound named "Clementine."

    Good luck!

Sailor says "Why would you want a girl dog? In my experience they are pains in the ass"
Sweet Pea says "I don't care what their names are, in my mind the Lab is Doofus and the mongrel is Little Bitch"
Tessie says "Sweet Pea is a big fat poop and that should be her name"

So I'm pretty bored. At work today and nothing happening. The rest of the world seems to have the day off.
    sigh.
