Remember oblivion

Listen!

Something somewhere
a distant call
behind this night

A curtain sky beyond
darkness like closing nothing
but smooth and silvery
swaying home

I remember Iowa… (now in a fog, my mind)
nightfall would bend down… (stars and everything else)
to remember us touching… (daydreaming now)
as alfalfa for all rabbits would open up
and soon coyotes would sing
a pack for a hare
I’m sure they jumped
and burrowed snug-city
everywhere shrill

But it was beautiful
for wildlife
boys running
soon honeybees and summer-dogs would become hillsides floating
and endless green in slow motion
all for free
every single purple clover
flower
would spill into the creek
as arrowheads from before
were at rest
until our eyes

Believe me
crickets… (the joyous little choir)
sail only for home
and chirp
till hot air balloons appear with streamers
ending the story
of songbirds crying
for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

"Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
no more forever."

i don't know how old you are but it sounds like a "love in"

a love in is people naked laughting having fun on some sort of high
    Music is the universal language

    the best thing about oblivion
is that it usually cannot be
    remembered
maybe to road to oblivion can be retraced
    but once you get there
    poof - it's gone
fuck 'em if they can't take a joke

    Remember the poets
Poets, remember me when I crack
Remember me when the words start to fail
They'll rust first, and then they will fall
And when they come back they'll be fractured
But remember me, how I spoke some sense once
    During these times
    And sometimes you know
All it takes is a hand
    Of friendship
    A smile
    Someone to reach out
Sometimes all it takes is a word
    To bring me back
