Coheed & Cambria, I give them credit

Find out about these guys from a friend, then had the pleasure of seeing
their live show and I am a believer. One of the best damn shows I have ever seen,
including Pearl Jam. My Morning Jacket is copying off them and doing each album at
NYC, but Coheed did that last year for their fans. Not only is this a great group of
musicians, they actually tour everywhere all the time. Now I have been a ten club member
for years, and my love for them has fallen due to the lack of touring, especially in the south.
Heres an early video of Coheed and Cambria for the people who aren't familiar.

If you watch this all the way through and see the energy this band has, its crazy.
They bring it every single night

I'd say the maturity level of fans that this band attracts is self evident, which is coincidentally why I'm not a fan.

who cares if mmj copied them . tons of bands have done the cd a night run. local h and bruce springsteen and eband have done it and i'm sure many other bands have too.

I'm thinking the OP must be in the coheed & cambria street team aka fan corp
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

Hey, I love Coheed. Mainly because I watched them "grow up" so to speak since they're somewhat of a local band in my area. The majority of Coheed shows I've been to were before they even released their 1st album. It's been fun and interesting to me to follow all of the moves they've made in their career because no one ever thought they would reach the popularity that they have. That said, the fan base IS pretty immature, but that's no reason to not listen to a band... every band has a group of shitty fans, it's inevitable. Also, I wouldn't say MMJ is copying off of Coheed for doing the 1 album per night run type thing, as Coheed certainly did NOT invent that concept.

agreed. playing an album start to finish is anything but unique to C & C.

Hey, I will agree that they do have some crappy immature fans who only know the song
off rock band, and their most popular song, Welcome Home. With that said, I am amazed
the people on this board don't even give them a chance. As for their live show, I saw them
back to back nights on their current tour and they absolutely tore it up. They have more
energy every night than any other band I have seen. I got into them after I saw them
at a festival with STP. They absolutely owned it. Anyway, I am not on their street team,
just a fan of good music. Wish you guys would give them a chance.

Such a great band, and by far the nicest people i have ever met. Always take time after shows to meet with their fans, take pics, sign autographs, etc. Some of you are really missing out and its a shame.

I also enjoy listening to Coheed & Cambria, they put on a good show at ACL last year. They really impressed my brother and I, there lead sing has a really unique voice.
    United Center - Aug 23, 2009 / Austin City Limits - Oct 04, 2009 / Sprint Center - May 03, 2010
    The O2 - Jun 22, 2010 / Odyssey Arena - Jun 23, 2010

Yeah I heard that ACL show was awesome from a friend.

First time I saw them was opening for Linkin Park on their Minutes to Midnight Tour. Had never heard of them
before. Anyway, this was about a 20,000 seat venue and i went with a friend who is a huge linkin park fan, and he gave me a free ticket so what the heck. Anyway, Coheed goes on and absolutely
blew the entire place up. The entire audience was more pumped up for them compared to
linkin park. After they play their last song, 20,000 people start chanting Encore, encore. I have
never heard this before for an opening band. Needless to say I bought every album after that
and now understand why this is one of the most talented and underappreciated band in music today.

I'll be seeing them in Vegas on August 13th. I didn't really know much about them and had only heard one or two of their songs, but really just wanted to see a concert while in Vegas. The more I listen to them and learn about them, the more I am becoming a fan. Looking very forward to the show!

    PJPOWER,
I think you will be in for a real treat. I honestly think they put on the best show among any musicians today.
I definitely want to know what you think after you see them perform. I've seen them twice this year,
and both nights were amazing. Here are a few songs that you will for sure see at your concert,
check them out if you a get a chance to become more familiar.

In keeping Secrets of silent earth - ( you will be blown away, 8 minute song)
    No World For Tomorrow -
Time Consumer - ( off first album, one of their bests, and he usually plays parts with his teeth!)
Welcome Home - ( off rock band, most popular song, everyone knows it)

From the new album, which you need to pick up:

    The Broken
    Here we are Juggernaut
    Far
    Pearl of the Stars

I have heard Here we are Juggernaut, and the video kicks ass too. I just put Neverender on my netflix hoping it will help me become more familiar with them before the show :)

You are a smart man... and neverender is the greatest dvd ever made. Sorry,
I am a little biased. I think you will become hooked. Claudio Sanchez is the man.
I hope you fall in love with this band after seeing them and come back and convince
these people to give them a shot. For some reason there is a lot of backlash against them
around here. I love PJ, but give some other bands a chance, geez. Anyway, I wanted to
let you know that after 90% of their shows, they all come out to meet there fans and hang out
for a bit. They are the nicest group of people you will ever meet. I don't know if you are interested
in that, but I have feeling you will be after you watch them perform!!!
