RITFW makes an appearance once my tour is over! Bah! :( Nice enough with no real surprises. If I could choose a 20 song festival show it would be really heavy from start to finish but this looks fun enough. I hear the crowd were a bit rowdy at times but not sure if it was any more than was reported at Hyde Park?

Pretty good for a 20 song festival set. Ever since MSG this year I LOVE corduroy as an opener, and interstellar is probably even better.

Interstellar Overdrive couldnt ask for a better opening song especially on my birthday. Only thing that would have been better would to have been there. You should know what Interstellar Overdrive is - Pink Floyd 101.

I'm soooo happy - 2shows in 2 days. Berlin was absolutely fantastic and the setlist and crowd was just perfect. And I have to say that in Gdynia I was a bit scared at the beginning because the crowd was really really big but luckily after few songs Ed asked everyone to take 3 steps back. Even though it was a festival show I really enjoyed that but I hope that next time they will play smaller show in Poland, just Pearl Jam, not at festival. For those who will see them in France and other countries - have a great shows :)

These Festival Gigs are hard to read in a way.. very short... but a someone has said we are spoiled by ridiculously long sets ordinarily. As an Aussie we've never had to endure a festival tour but seems you have all been having a brilliant time. great posts and great PJ love. Enjoy the rest of the tour.
  • Eight hours in the car from Berlin, four hours sleep, three hours queueing and we still almost didn't get in because of shoddy organisation... thank god for previous experience as a youngster jumping festival fences...

...but it was all worth it. The set list did not feel 'short' it was a great show, full of energy and fun. Ed was a bit nervous about the crowd but that didn't stop the band from throwing out a load of heavy songs from start to finish. Most of the crowd around me (third row Mike's side) only knew Jeremy and Alive but they were loving it and there was a lot of appreciation from both the band and the audience. I wasn't expecting much from this gig after Berlin but it was so much fun. After such a long and hard road to get there, it was great to hear some hits and see all the young kids around us getting their first taste of pearl jam. I think the group made a lot of new friends last night.

The band managed the show really well and it was really enjoyable, even right in the thick of the action.

There were some idiots around but there was no bigger idiot than the very very drunk guy next to me at Berlin who told Ed to shut up when, he was talking about Roskilde and then threw a pint of beer over everyone in front of him during the Come Back tribute...

    What a prize prick.

Anyway, I've read worse articles about the band in the NME - At least they give a reasonable account of Ed's position

To be fair to the NME, this is the best article I've ever read of theirs about Pearl Jam, as it is the only one that that does not mention Kurt Cobain. They managed 3 paragraphs without bringing him or ticketmaster up!

Indeed they did... and Ed's polish has improved amazingly since 2007. He was speaking like a local. I think he's secretly been taking extra lessons.

    Great show, great fun.
