Kick Out The Jams with Peter Buck and someone else from REM
There you go I knew something special will come today in the encores....AMAZING !!! I hate my job...I was supposed to be there if it wasn't for this stupid meeting today
hehe - I wonder if Michael Stipe has been described as 'someone else from REM' before
fanview thread says scott mccaughey, who is a touring guitarist with rem (and plays in other bands like the minus 5), and not stipe. makes sense then that it's "someone else from rem". i'd think stipe would be above that label.
This thread kept me on the edge of my seat all afternoon. Thanks so much to all of the relayers. You captured the brilliant setlist and all the emotion... felt a little like I was living it along with you.
the best night of my life..unbeliavable..what to say...ed crying,18000 lighters,18000 waves,1 minute silence..the video taping from ed laptop..what a fucking great night,,feel so blessed be a part of all this..thank u all

On a roll today? Got blasta I wish I could've been here for the tread today, it felt special even when reading afterwards. I feel like kid who missed school picnic. Beautiful setlist.
So, did the 10C members in attendance do anything to mark the day, as planned? (i.e. light show, etc)
Yep it was amazing ... first we heard a very emotional Black ... then Ed came up with his Roskilde speech while he fought with the tears (just like everyone else). He said that Stone had the idea that we all could share a moment of silence. So 18.000 people suddenly got quiet - and held their lighters up in the air. It was so amazing and touching. I was maybe row 11 or 12 ... I looked around and saw all the lights. I'll never forget that moment. Then they started to play Come Back. I have no words, it was heartbreaking.
I can't even describe how beautiful and emotional this night was ...

This boot will be a must-have for all of us.
