South Carolina Gamecock College World Series Champions AGAIN

I know ESPN did not want the Gamecocks to win you could tell how their commetary was skewed to the big "LA" market, but damn it all to hell we won :D

Probably not many fans on the board, but it made me smile so big watching the game last night. The Gamecock baseball team has been knocking on the door every year for the past 10 years and Ray Tanner a very underated coach finally kicked the door in.

What a great way to do it!
eleminating the number one ranked team
Beating Oklahoma twice
THEN the cherry on top beating the CLEMSUX twice in back to back days to make the final

then taking on UCLA who ESPN pretty much already gave the trophy to.

So if you are a gamecock fan like me we generally don't have much to celebrate in football, basketball, or baseball so lets all smile today and be sure to say hi to all the clemson fans you see :lol:

    I was a very proud and happy alum last night.

    I vote that Eric Hyman gives Ray Tanner a contract for life.

    It's been very exciting here in Columbia...

    Lets do it again tonight :)

    Jesus can they just win a game without causing me to lose a year of my life in stress. The past few games have been crazy. Both plays at the plate last night were amazing.

    clemson grad here.

    Beating Florida to win the SECOND title in a row was pretty sweet, but not as good as making Clemson our whipping boys last year to get to the final. :D

    Roth gave it his all and Price was awesome as he always is this team was so consistant and did all the right things. So many times teams we played could not make fundimental plays but the gamecocks defense made the plays and they got timely hitting.

    It was great to watch. As far as i'm concerned they need to rename our baseball stadium to Tanner Field!

    (heres hoping i'll resurect this thread again next year!)

    Not much to add onto my previous post...

    What an awesome CWS for the Gamecocks. I swear that I've probably had about 12 heart attacks since the start of the second game against UVa.

    Wish that I could go to the celebration at CLA. The arena is right across the street from where I work, but it's too short notice to get the time off.

    Very happy and proud alum today! Go Gamecocks!!
