Leather man's caves

This past summer I worked as a outdoor educator which means that I took kids and young adults out hiking, canoeing, kayaking, caving...etc. around New England. Anyway, a few of the caves that we held programs in were caves that THE leather man made use of in his wanderings. It was so cool cause we had to tell the story of the leather man from the 1800s who slept in this very cave...and how he only wore animal skins and would occasionally travel to nearby towns where the citizens would give him food and things...

Needless to say as I'm telling these stories inside my head I'm hearing "oh, I heard about a man to whom I may be related hes leathermaaaan...." and so on. Heh. Just thought I'd share.
