Biodomes

Outside the two by four
Sheetrock and glass
Above the choking asphalt
And toxic runoff
Beyond the paychecks
Debt collectors and
Cold comfort cycles
There are genuine moments
Of worry and wonder
Where blizzards deposit
Equal amounts
Of ivory enchantment
And drawn out agony

A split second stare
Into unending amber beauty
Sitting atop the smiling
And salivating
Stalactites to the underworld

So much life
Crying our names
From amongst the ruins
Of conquered kingdoms
At least
More invitation
Than can be found
In this manicured park
Of crowded coffins
And plastic flowers

That much is certain

I really dig it though, glad I found it.

    thanks.

Thanks, man. I was actually really happy with this stanza; one of my favorites that this feeble brain has managed come up with...
