What should be in the Vs. deluxe reissue?

I know this getting ahead of ourselves, but I can't help but dream about how cool this could be. A full concert DVD from this era would be a must. The Vs. tour is one of the least documented of their career. It is also one of the most exciting.

Personally, I hope I get the Ten re-issue in my hands before they start pre-ordering for the Vs set.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

    9/29/04 Boston, 6/28/08 Mansfield, 8/23/09 Chicago, 5/15/10 Hartford
    5/17/10 Boston, 10/15/13 Worcester, 10/16/13 Worcester, 10/25/13 Hartford
    8/5/16 Fenway, 8/7/16 Fenway
EV Solo: 6/16/11 Boston, 6/18/11 Hartford,
  • Good thread.

I think a "What ever happened to Dave A." novella would be awesome. Anyone remember G.L.O?

I doubt they'll remix it like they did with Ten though, so what outtakes would make the second disc? Some recordings from up in the Uncle Neil cabins?

Also, anyone wondering where all the old shows are and how/when they'll be released? I doubt there are many the band has from the Ten days, besides the alter festivals, but I'm sure they have the Vs. era shows taped. The bootlegs of those shows are amazing and the best show I ever saw, Miami 94. They should definitely release the era-tour CDs with the reissues as they lead up to 20 years.

  • I think some rough demos of "Betterman" and "Whipping" would be great to hear, as long as the early version of "Hard to Imagine" (Chicago Cab Soundtrack version). Other than that, I think they should release a dvd of the Manifesting Morrison boot.

Definately a DVD from a show.. A sweaty hardcore 'eddie is angry out of his skin' show. Indio-style!

TOURING BAND 1994!!! Good call STT757!

I would pay a shit load of money for a quality video with great sound of this.

It would be nice of the guys to give props to Dave A. and maybe, just possibly, allow him to have some words in whatever is included.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

The 1994 tour was a beast. All the guys were in prime shape!

I would pay loads of money for a Atlanta DVD as well!

  • Anyone know any shows that were shot by the band during the VS-era? That could end up on dvd/bluray?

Were these the April 94 shows at the Garden in Boston right after Cobain was found dead? I have these boots and Ed and the band seemed very somber at this point. Not lacking in energy, but very humbled and down because of the news at the time. Also, never heard they were on the verge of breaking up, although Dave was gone from the band about 6 months later.

The Atlanta show was broadcast all over the country, and rebroadcast. It was a well known show. I have a cassette tape that is very worn out which was taped on the radio from that show, practically the whole thing. I used that tape to learn a lot of Dave A drumming. >:^D
