Are they putting their nicknames on the back of their jerseys or are their real names Kaka, Duda, Robinho, Mozart, Conquest, Didi, Pepe and Cesar?

The Brazilians often put nicknames. Always have ... Pele ;)

Marcus Tulio Tanaka of Japan (myyy future husband) goes by "Tulio" and has that on his shirt.
And you think I can find a Japan jersey to buy with the name Tulio on it instead of Tanaka?! Nooooo

  • In some leagues, players just have their squad number on the back of their shirt. However, it's much more common for the players to have their surnames and squad number on the back. Sometimes, in the cases of players with long surnames, they will use a nickname or shortened version.
It's gonna be a glorious day...
