Jon Krakauer thanks Eddie Vedder in the Pat Tillman book

I never saw this posted here before. So I just finished the Tillman book (very good) and Jon specifically thanks Ed and Sean "for providing counsel and support over the long haul." I wonder if they became friends after Into the Wild? Sounds like it. I think Krakauer could do an incredible book on Vedder, especially if he were to cooperate with it.

I have read lust about everything he has written in both magazines and books and if you have even read just a couple of his works you know that unless Eddie climbs a serious mountain with life threatening events, goes to a war zone with dire circumstances, or disapears "into the wild", or even goes on a walkabout then I doubt Mr. Krakaeur would write about him.
Sitting with Eddie in Seattle or San Diego or even Chicago would not be as exciting as climbing the Eiger or Everest or going to Afghanistan, or going Alaska.
Good idea though and I for one wouldnt being wrong about this
+1
i would also read a book that somebody else wrote about Jon, that would be cool.
