Bought official boots, where can I get audience recordings?

So I picked up the official boots for the Hartford, Boston, Newark and MSG 1 and 2. I was wondering where I can find audience recordings of these shows, that don't involve torrents. I like hearing good audience recordings because it makes me feel like I was there even more!! (Is this even allowed, I'm not too sure!)

I found Hartford, but would love to have the rest. Thanks!

Maybe if you put the official boot in a boom box on the side of your swimming pool, put it on loud, then go in the pool and put your head under water and you should achieve the same sound effect. :)

People actually work hard to make those audience recordings available to the community (and spend significant amounts of money on recording equipment), so you might wish not to be quite so cavalier with your dismissal of them...

Besides, some of us (me included), get more enjoyment out of an excellent audience recording than an imperfect soundboard recording. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, ya dig.

Exactly! Plus with audience recordings, you get the real deal. Listening to one feels like you were right there, right @ the show. Where the taper was recording, if feels like you were @ that seat experiencing the show & feel what the taper experienced. Mostly all audience recordings are unedited. No cuts or mixes like many of the soundboard official releases. For example, marriage proposals, encores, tiny speeches etc..

The philly ones are very nice
    i like sound...
  • One thing I have learned is that it takes a unique person to truly appreciate audience recordings. I for one am not that type of person but have a great respect for the hard work and efforts made to archive every nuance of these great shows over the last 20 years. Just imagine all the conversations, experiences and information obtained because of them let alone the pure listening pleasure.

Thanks so much for those by the way!

Does anyone know about last year's California shows as far as audience recordings go?

    Thanks!

You could try www.dimeadozen.org. They only deal in audience bootlegs, no copyright material at all. Its a really good site that I've used many times. You have to register though, no sure if they are accepting new registrations at the moment but its worth a try

Does anybody know if there is an audience recording for the above show available (or a boot even), it was my first PJ gig and incredibly I forgot I was actually at it despite having worn the salmon No Code tour T-shirt over the years and having vivid memories of Release and Smile. I was mixing it up in my rubbish memory with the 2000 Wembley show. Lets just say the 90s were a bit of a blur. I'd love to hear that show again after 14 years and would love you long time if you could hook me up with any info. ;)

D - I had no idea you enjoyed AUD releases - I kinda figured you were only into SBD based on our talks in the past... I think I'm realizing now that both SBDs and AUDs and matrices of the two all have their time and place. For example, if there were a DVD under way for certain shows, I would prefer they be done with a surround sound matrix relying heavily on the SBD for the front channels, and heavier on the AUD for the rears and LFE. What would you guys think? ;)

I love audience recordings! I probably have over 300 of them myself. I've found that the best place to get good quality flac or shn boots is at http://zombtracker.com.zomb.com. If you filter by Pearl Jam, you will find the majority of their recorded history.
A few of the others sites mentioned before are pretty good, but the the amount of PJ material has slowed over the past few years..
